Cafepress: Managing 2nd Side Garment Price Change

Well, Cafepress had announced that they would be charging for 2nd side garment printing and it's about to come into effect. It may be difficult for many people to handle all the changes but Cafepress is offering some type of help although it is not very clear what that help is. Also there is a time limit so if you feel you need help to adjust your prices you better get in there quick. Here is the email I received.

Quote:
As a reminder, tonight we are going to start charging $3 more for garments that have designs on both the front and back.

* The retail price of garments with both front and back designs will automatically be increased by $3.
* The default price adjustment is being done so you can make the same amount of margin on existing garments without having to take action.

Since 2004, CafePress has made nominal price adjustments, and we’ve found that products with price increases have not decreased in sales. Therefore, we believe this change will have little to no impact to your business.

Every Shopkeeper is unique. Changing the retail price is a one size fits most approach and may not meet your specific needs. There are a few other options available to you should this global price change not meet your needs.

* Manually adjusting each item in your shops(s).
* Bulk editing items by section.

We realize that these options may require too much work and because you are important to us, we would like to help. If you would like assistance in managing changes in your shop as a result of this price increase, please respond to us by clicking here by September 7th, 2007 to sign up for help.

If you opt-in for help we will contact you by September 14th so we can discuss the potential options open to you. In the meantime, if we can answer any questions please email us at .

Sincerely,
Shopkeeper Relations Team
