Cafepress Issues - No Announcements

Recently there has been a lot of trouble at Cafepress. Lot's of site slowness and downtime and other issues such as missing or outdated section thumbnails. And yesterday a new issue popped up regarding our order report. A few of us noticed that some pending orders had a "done" status, which frankly we were not really familiar with and then other people noticed that these "done" orders were frequently changed to "declined" and added of course to the canceled/declined section of the order report.

This does happen though. Some orders are declined. I had already had one order declined at the beginning of this month but now I suddenly had seven. Seven is the total number of orders declined from January through July and now suddenly I am having seven orders decline in one day. Of course I figured something was up so I contacted Cafepress both trhough the bug report and by telephone and was told there were problems and that they were aware of them and are in the process of resolving them. I was given some details, some of which were a little contradictory but OK.

Anyway I called again today after receiving the following email -

The order was printed and shipped successfully. The "charge decline" status is a system error that occurred once the order was already shipped and we attempted to charge the credit card. We apologize for any confusion. Please ignore this status as we continue to update affected orders. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I was told that the items had indeed been shipped - all six of the mysteriously declined items. They checked the order reports. I advise everyone to check there reports for anomalies.

No Announcements

For these problems there doesn't seem to be any official announcements forthcoming even though myself and other shopkeepers have repeatedly asked for this simple courtesy.
The section thumbnail issue has been going on for about three weeks if I'm correct but still there had been no announcement.

Previous site slowness issues and non-scheduled forum downtime also had no official explanation.

And this current order report issue had no official explanation.

It is very frustrating and I cannot understand why Cafepress are so inconsiderate. Hopefully they will listen at some point and start showing some respect.

Another bug to add to the list

Yesterday the Cafepress web site started giving a pop up warning of "unknown authority certificate issue" that will not instill confidence in our shoppers. I sent in a bug report and got some sort of canned response so I replied to it asking if it were a reply to my bug report and received a reply this morning apologizing for the confusion and saying that they are aware of this problem and are trying to repair it.
