Add Search to Your Cafepress Store

Everybody wants it but few people have it - the capability to search your Cafepress Premium Store. I know of two ways to add this feature to your store. One is using a google service called Google Co-op and the other is called searchcp

Google Co-op

Setting it up is pretty easy. Just log on and choose your settings and you can choose whether to have the results display on a google page or actually in your store. I think its better to display them in your store for branding purposes and to keep people on your site.

  • Free
  • Reliable

Disadvantages

  • As its a google search it will only search what has been indexed (I think.)
  • Code can be tricky.
  • Includes google adds

searchcp is brought to you by the same person who brought you cpcoupons - Adam, a Cafepress legend in his own lifetime. This is a fantastic service and if you have a sizable store it may be a worthwhile investment. The results include images of the products and are displayed beautifully. You can see some examples on his site.
